Overview

The role of the Healthcare Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. The Project Manager is in charge of the day-to-day management of project execution which includes: acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability 
  • Manage the Project and the processes therein – including the definition and on-going monitoring of the Project Implementation Document (PID)
    • Define the project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
    • Produce the Project Implementation Plan
    • Produce and Manage the Project Plan
    • Produce and Manage the Quality Plan
    • Produce and Manage the Communications Plan
    • Define the resource plan
  • Represent the needs of the Implementation Team during the pre-sales stage
  • Carry out resource planning and management 
  • Carry out the management and escalation of risks and issues
  • Manage the project budget
  • Ensure that the project team members are aware of and remain compliant with all the relevant procedures and policies
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope throughout the project
  • Ensure appropriate communication between the members of the project team and report on project progress and other project specific information to stakeholders
  • Lead the ‘handover to support’ activities after go-live
  • Lead the ‘lessons learned’ activities for whole project life cycle
  • Produce the Project Closure Report

Qualifications

  • Project Management experience delivering multi-stranded integrated Healthcare solutions in a customer facing role
  • Must have prior implementation with local Thai hospitals 
  • Experience of full project lifecycle through initiation, execution, go-live and closure
  • Direct healthcare knowledge or 3+ yrs experience with an HIS or LIMS system highly preferred
  • Experience managing resources, time tracking, budgets and forecasting
  • Experience leading a diverse / multi-disciplined team
  • Experience communicating across all levels of an organization
  • Thai and English language required

Desirable

  • An understanding of hospital procedures, standard working practices, structure and politics
  • Previous experience as an end user of an integrated health system
  • Clinical experience or background – ideally as a user of TrakCare or other Hospital Information System (HIS) application
  • Experience with integrated implementations
