  • Overview

    We are going to further invest into the Italian healthcare market and are planning for significant growth. As an important success factor for this journey we are looking to employ a Sales Engineer to join our team based in Milano.  The Sales Engineer will be responsible for designing, proposing and delivering, usually through implementation partners, appropriate and effective solutions, developing design requirements, functional specifications and technical infrastructure to meet our customer’s expectations.  Able to translate between business language and technical language, you will work closely with our customers to maximise the opportunity. The Sales Engineer will work cohesively with the sales team in Italy, and Implementation, Product Management and Development teams in Italy and US to propose and implement locally leading edge product solutions.


    • Coordinating with InterSystems' Italy Sales Managers and all other departments to ensure a close, long-term relationship with our customers
    • Design and own technical and functional architecture for HealthShare customers in conjunction with ISC technical and HealthShare architects
    • Write effective and technical savy answers to RFPs and Tenders, acting as Bid Manager for all the technical content of the Proposals for HealthShare
    • Designing, building and presenting Proofs of Concept (PoCs) in Ensemble/Healthshare to prospects and partners.
    • Delivering standard and customized on-site training in a classroom environment.
    • Working closely with Third Party implementation resources, ISC Project Management, ISC Technical Services, Product Management and Development to ensure successful implementations
    • Installing HeathShare and assisting with benchmarking exercises to determine optimal deployment configurations
    • Supporting our clients during beta test programs
    • Supporting marketing activities at trade shows, seminars and the like
    • Producing collateral such as white papers or case studies
    • Keeping up-to-date with InterSystems products and IT industry developments and undertake any relevant self-development or training


    • Experience of enterprise software development, design and delivery
    • Good understanding of at least 1 recognised Enterprise Service Bus in Healthcare sector
    • Experience in answering to tenders and writing technical proposals
    • Personal presence and industry expertise to establish yourself as a trusted advisor to development and delivery managers and senior technical staff
    • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
    • Proven business analysis and problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrable solution delivery experience including functional/technical ownership
    • Good knowledge of deployment of an integration platform such as InterSystems Ensemble, Mirth, Mule, Oracle Fusion or others.
    • Strong, practical knowledge of HL7and other existing healthcare data interchange standards. Exposure to emerging standards
    • Experience of InterSystems Caché/Ensemble or HealthShare is a definite plus but not essential

    Education and Training

    • BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical degree
