    InterSystems UK has a new opportunity for a Sales Manager to define and execute a Business Partner Program, designed to drive sales of our Data Platform products.  The Sales Manager will be a new business hunter responsible for selling our new product, InterSystems IRIS, to new customers by establishing a vibrant Distribution Channel within the UK.

     

    The Sales Manager is responsible for establishing new distribution channels and developing a business partner program with resellers who will engage their customers and teams to sell our technology led solutions.  This person will possess a strong understanding of technology and the concept of software middleware and have the ability to identify new business partners, where InterSystems products may be applied.  The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of successfully articulating, and subsequently selling, technology led solutions to new customers through distribution channels. 

     

    We have a particular focus on financial services, although experience in this field is not essential.  Financial services is a data rich industry, one that is heavily regulated and it is becoming increasingly challenging for organizations in this sector to deal with risk, surveillance, and compliance when operating multiple stand-alone applications across diverse locations and populations.  InterSystems IRIS presents a great proposition to the financial services industry and others, a complete data platform that combines analytical and transaction processing with interoperability for handling all types of data.

    Responsibilities

    • Discover, qualify and develop new Data Platform business opportunities through a Business Partner Programme, building long term relationships.
    • Establishing new Distribution Channels to drive sales of InterSystems IRIS
    • Engage with marketing to develop and execute appropriate value propositions and campaigns to drive new Data Platform business
    • Lead the sales proposition in the UK and represent the company at the highest level with new customers
    • Work with Sales Support to provide timely proposals to new business partners
    • Manage, escalate and resolve technical or contractual issues.
    • Coordinate internal technical and non-technical resources to educate and to equip Business Partners with all the information they need to be successful
    • The successful applicant will have entrepreneurial qualities and will develop creative strategies to increase new business through new channels
    • Partnering with InterSystems internal stakeholders (technical, marketing and business development teams) to develop compelling solutions for prospective customers

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in opening and developing new channel accounts through resellers or distributors of software solutions for data-rich industry needs.
    • Five years minimum track record in achieving above quota performance
    • Evidence of sales success through distribution partners
    • Excellent listening, written and communication skills
    • Extensive and proven track record of attracting and developing new business partners, where InterSystems data platform may be applied.
    • Proven ability to grow revenue streams from partners
    • Strong understanding of database and integration technology
    • Able to understand business requirements and to derive equitable solutions.
    • Proven ability to present effectively at Board level

    Education and Training

    • Degree qualified, or equivalent
