    InterSystems ItalianItaly seeks to hire an energetic, achievement-oriented Business Development Managerwho will define and execute a strategy designed to raise awareness of our healthcare-centric solutions capability.

    The Italian healthcare market has a wide array of healthcare IT systems deployed in regions, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and pharmacies and there is an increasing focus on connecting these systems rather than replacing them.  In addition, all regions are working either to create or to evolve their electronic health record and healthcare data interoperability platforms.  The need for a single, standard and world-class platform to connect these disparate systems and functions has never been more relevant than it is today.

     

    InterSystems HealthShare is a health informatics platform. It provides advanced technology for strategic interoperability and analytics for action within a single facility, or across a hospital network, or the healthcare system of an entire region or nation.  We passionately believe that our value proposition represents ‘best of breed’ capability, an opinion shared by KLAS ranking InterSystems HealthShare in the top 3 vendor HIE’s every year since 2014.

     

     

    The Business Development Managerwill be tasked with managing and developing relationships with new and existing End User customers, primarily regions and hospitals, to uncover potential opportunities for HealthShare as a solution to meet the target organisation’s interoperability needs.  In addition, the Business Development Managerwill be tasked with managing and developing relationships with existing and prospect Application Partners in ItalianItaly.  We believe that the key to raising awareness of HealthShare’s broad based capabilities will be to engage at the C level within the various target organisations.

    Responsibilities

    • Discover, qualify and develop opportunities for HealthShare in the Italian market
    • The primary objective is to secure new name business and to build mutually rewarding long-term customer relationships
    • Motivate internal and external staff/resources to focus on desired business outcomes
    • Work with sales support to provide timely proposals to customers
    • Manage, escalate and resolve technical or contractual issues
    • Develop effective prospecting strategies to target new customers in order to identify need and areas where our solutions can provide value
    • Leverage existing customers and use reference sites to support the campaign to bring in new name business
    • Work with existing Application Partners to determine roadmap.  Protect the account whilst determining a mutually beneficial growth path
    • Maintain awareness of industry sector and technological advances
    • Partnering with InterSystems internal stakeholders (technical, marketing and business development teams) to develop compelling solutions for current and prospective HealthShare customers.
    • Travel to prospective customers within ItalianItaly expected to be 50%

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years demonstrable track record of working in regional EHR and interoperability projects   
    • Proven ability to engage healthcare organizations at C level
    • Ideally experience of selling clinical application software.  At minimum, must have demonstrable track record of selling software solutions Excellent listening, written, and communication skills
    • A thorough, structured, analytical person with self-starter mentality who is used to be in the details of his/her business
    • A strong team player, working with sales and technical co-workers to put-together solutions that meet the customer need
    • Proven ability to present effectively at board level
    • A genuine interest and technical curiosity for software in the healthcare sector (ours and others) 
    • Fluency in English and Italian language is essential
    • The position will be based in our Milan offices and will require travelling for 50% of the time

    Education and Training

    • Degree qualified in Engineering or Informatics
