• PMO Lead

  • Overview

    The PMO Lead will be responsible for managing PMO operations, identifying opportunities for streamlining and improve internal processes. The PMO Lead will be supporting Project Managers in the implementation phases, by sharing best practices and lessons learned. Occasionally (during peak times) the PMO Leads might be required to manage small/medium projects and/or upgrades.


    The duties initially assigned include, but are not limited to:

    • Direct and lead the activities of the PMO in the region.
    • Provide guidance on processes and procedures to the Project Management team.
    • Provide reporting and information to the regional senior management team.
    • Lead project reporting and project administration under the direction of the regional Program Director.
    • Design and implement new PMO processes and procedures.
    • Improve and streamline project management tools (e.g. Project status, Scope changes, Project overview, Resource allocation and availability, Milestones, Projections, Gantt charts, Earned value, Budget v Expenditure).
    • Maintain documentation library or database to define standards, examples, project documents & electronic Project Files.
    • Oversee resource availability and allocation: resource management; project organisational structure.
    • Manage projects/upgrades as required by Regional Management.
    • Liaise and co-operate with other regional PMO’s.
    • The ability to travel extensively working from customer sites and the InterSystems offices.



    • 5+ years working within PMO functions or Management Consulting, with experience in business analysis, process mapping and optimisation.
    • Proven ability in fast learning of specific requirements of complex operations.
    • Knowledge and experience in project/program management methodologies.
    • Extensive experience with Project Office Support tools.
    • Persuasive and effective communication skills.

    • Relationships with all stakeholders within each customer.
    • Relationship with all immediate peers as we’ll as cross-functional peers.
    • An ambassador for InterSystems with the customer and with other functions of InterSystems.

    Education and Training


    • Relevant University Degree
    • Project Management qualification such as Prince2, PMP or PMI
    • Technical knowledge in software and implementation processes


    • Master’s degree (e.g. MBA)
