Market Development Representative

Location DE-Darmstadt


As a Market Development Representative, MDR, your primary focus is to be the first line of contact for targeted prospect accounts, and to evangelize the capabilities of InterSystems’ products by influencing stakeholders and decision makers. Through strategic and careful communication, you will develop and maintain a qualified pipeline of prospects, including potential customers and partners for InterSystems. You represent the front line of InterSystems technology sales to significantly sized enterprise accounts.



  • Contact and market to assigned target accounts about InterSystems’ technology
  • Partner with sales to develop and conduct prospecting strategies
  • Follow-up on marketing-generated inbound leads and inquiries
  • Manage a pipeline utilizing Salesforce and / or Pardot to track activity and updates
  • Provide feedback and recommendations on marketing efforts based on real front-line interactions
  • Conduct industry research to uncover pain points and find potential sales opportunities
  • Handle a variety of communication including, but not limited to, cold-calling, inbound calls, warm follow-ups, and email campaigns
  • Achieve yearly quota for leads generated/handed off to Sales Team (Sales Qualified Opportunities)


  • BA or BSc in business/economics or technical
  • Three or more years' experience of business development/inside sales
  • Experience qualifying and selling software or other technology products over the phone
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM (preferred) or other CRM tools
  • Collaborative and cooperative attitude with sales and marketing teammates
  • Goal orientation and self-motivation, with a passion for the technology or healthcare industries
